Job Summary
Utility Pipeline is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Canton, Ohio office. This motivated individual will assist with maintaining financial reports and records and will provide support to the CFO and Senior Accountant. Must be able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. This is a full-time position with benefits.

General Responsibilities
- Assists with financial reporting
- Prepares monthly financial statements
- Prepares monthly journal entries and allocations
- Assists with general ledger account reconciliation
- Assists with month and year-end closing schedules
- Meets corporate monthly closing deadlines
- Assists with fixed asset record maintenance
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly and prepares work papers to support those balances
- Researches items requested by senior financial or operations management
- Creates new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Handles miscellaneous accounting tasks
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field
- Experience: 1-3 years of related experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply accounting/finance theory
- Strong analytical ability
- Detail oriented
- Complex problem solving and critical thinking
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Advanced Excel; Experience with accounting software)
