Maintenance Technician Clearfield, Utah Facility
Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company is America's oldest privately owned, family-operated trailer manufacturer. With our corporate headquarters in City of Industry, California, we have 5 manufacturing factories in the United States and 1 in Mexico, along with two other parts or service-related operations. Our Utah plant is currently accepting applications for a maintenance technician.
Day Shift:
Friday through Sunday, 4:30AM through 5:00PM.
Job Responsibility:
- Ability to make sound repair decisions that follow established best practices of the department, regarding maintaining equipment functional operation and safety.
- Provide emergency and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance of production equipment, forklifts, and gas/diesel engines.
- Inspects machines and equipment to locate issues and problems, inspects parts to detect wear or other issues.
- Troubleshoot and understands electrical circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment schematics, and prints.
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul facility equipment.
- Able to read and write legibly; able to perform tasks without little or no supervision.
- Ability to operate a drill press, power hand tools, measuring equipment and test equipment such as a voltmeter.
- Basic computer skills and PLC Knowledge (Allen Bradley) knowledge is desired.
- Must have mechanical aptitude. Tool and die, machining, welding, and fabricating experience beneficial.
- Experience in electrical codes, installing or repairing wiring, electrical and electrical components, and pipe systems.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical presses is desired.
- Must be able to work a full-time work schedule.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Must be able to stand 60% of the time and walk 40% of the time.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and work atop equipment.
- Ability to move, traverse and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
- High School Diploma GED or graduation from trade/technical school preferred.
- Additional school education may substitute for required experience.
- Must have previous maintenance experience.
