  • Outside Parts Sales Representative

Job Purpose:
  • To increase sales and market share of trailer parts and accessories by actively prospecting and developing new customer accounts while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships within a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for assigned territory to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Prospect and cultivate new customer relationships through cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and excellent customer service.
  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to customers, assisting them in selecting the appropriate parts and accessories for their needs.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations to customers, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor customer accounts and proactively address any issues or concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales performance.
  • Utilize CDK Drive software for sales management, inventory tracking, and customer relationship management.
  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall company objectives.
  • Represent Utility Trailer of Dallas Control Account in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the automotive or trailer industry.

Preferred Experience:
  • CDK Drive experience
  • 5 years of previous experience in outside parts sales

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of parts and accessories for trailers.
  • Ability to learn and operate company software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet sales goals and quotas.
