Position: Service Advisor
Responsibilities:
•
Prospecting cold calling, canvassing, and leveraging your territory and network to gather leads.
•
Develop new client accounts for the Company through cold calls, working potential customer lists, contacting companies who previously rejected proposals, etc. Negotiate pricing levels according to Company directions to encourage business dealings with the Company.
•
Achieve annual sales and gross profit for assigned accounts.
•
Assist in the collection of past-due accounts to ensure the Company receives payments due from clients on a timely basis.
•
Report market activity to management by monitoring and analyzing competitor’s price list and products. Make product recommendations for inclusion in the Company product line. Proactively recommend adjustments to the current product line and pricing to remain competitive in the local market.
•
Initiating and processing requests for repair services.
•
Advise customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
•
Help identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection.
•
Confer with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work order for needed repairs.
•
Prepare a repair order showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
•
Write a brief description of the problem on the repair order to help the mechanic locate the problem.
•
Explain the work performed and the charges to the customer.
•
Must be able to manage customer complaints in a professional manner.
•
Must be able to determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it.
•
Determine specialized product needs and services by collaborating directly with customers.
•
Suggest add-on sales to increase average transactions.
•
Keep customers apprised of work progress.
•
Keep current on new products and product updates.
•
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
•
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
•
Possess effective communication skills in verbal, written and electronic to deal with customers, employees, vendors, and manufacturers.
•
Ability to listen to customer needs and communicate with mechanics.
•
Ability to create repair orders based on job estimated and customer needs.
•
Ability to sale service repairs to customers by providing complete estimate to customer.
•
Schedule mechanics labor based on time allocated and maintains job performance of technician.
•
Ability to meet project deadlines and maintain constant communication with customers, technician, and management.
•
Maintain customer relations by following up with customers after work is complete.
•
Collect payment once work is complete and finalize repair orders at end of completion.
•
Knowledge of the software CDK
•
Strong written/oral communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills are required.
•
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Physical Demands:
•
Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
•
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, turn, climb stairs and on trailers.
•
Due to the open environment of the shop, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
