The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with extensive experience in solid oxide cells (SOFC or SOECs) and research and development. The Electrochemist or Electrochemical Engineer will play a pivotal role in recommending and implementing new testing strategies, new applications of the eXero™ Technology and research directions to drive impactful and profitable results in the near term. This role will be based in our Denver, CO Advanced Technology Center.

Responsibilities:
- Drive technical excellence and innovation in the field of mixed electronic-ionic conducting solid oxide systems by designing and developing new testing processes, identifying next generation materials and exploring new applications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team to ensure the successful execution of research projects and the development of commercially viable technologies.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineering, numerical simulation, applied technology and business development to align electrochemistry initiatives with overall company goals.
- Create and execute a clear roadmap for product development, ensuring timely delivery of innovative solutions to the market.
- Foster a culture of creativity, initiative and collaboration within the team, promoting an environment conductive to problem-solving.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technological advancements and competitive landscape to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Prepare and present technical reports and progress updates to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Education Required: A Ph.D. in Electrochemistry or a related field (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science) with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the development and research of solid oxide fuel cells or electrolyzers.
- Proven experience in successful completion of project and product development.

Salary : $165,000 - $210,000
