REQUIRED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Must meet one of the three following educational/experience requirements plus current BLS certification:
Satisfactory completion of a formal vascular technology training program (1-4 years) must be registry eligible with application for current year
or
Graduate from a diagnostic ultrasound training program (2-4 years) with 1 full additional year of full-time clinical experience in a dedicated vascular lab and registry eligible with application for current year
or
Approximately two years of college with emphasis on the biological sciences with two years experience in a dedicated vascular laboratory and registry eligible with application for current year.
Certified as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible with application in current year.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Works under limited supervision to provide advanced technical skills in the performance of non-invasive tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.
Responsibilities include performing a full range of non-invasive vascular tests and related duties in patient care and academic/research environments.
