What are the responsibilities and job description for the ER Technician III - ED League City (Nights) position at UTMB Health?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide advanced technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas in the Emergency Department.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent.
- One (1) year experience as an ER Technician II.
- Completion of one of the following technical programs:
- Completion of EMT program,
- Is enrolled in a recognized School of Nursing and has completed the first semester of education, which contains clinical concepts and health assessments,
- Active state EMS certification in good standing at the date of hire, or
- Recognized military training as a US Army medic, US Navy Corpsmen, US Air Force Medic, or US Coast Guard Corpsmen.
- Competition of ER Technician CBO Tool.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS from American Heart Association (AHA).
- One of the following specialty certifications: (manager approval required)
- Paramedic certification,
- National Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification,
- National Rhythm Analysis Technician certification, or
- BLS Instructor from American Heart Association (AHA).
