Job Description
This position will be an on-campus position.
Job Duties:
- Assist with the management and care of UTMB’s medical heritage collections.
- Facilitate and participate in conservation workshops (utilizing training materials).
- Assist with the set-up and preparation of ongoing community engagement activities (including the management, and delivery of historical tours of Old Red).
- Act as a liaison between students, museum staff and volunteers.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, general clerical duties may include scanning, emails, and proof-reading materials.
- Oversee the transfer of collections data from Excel to Past Perfect (utilizing training materials).
- Develop promotional materials, including website updates and maintenance.
- Develop themes for future temporary exhibitions.
- Attend the quarterly Museum Advisory Council meetings and present a standing report.
- Support curriculum development for museum related educational initiatives.
- Performs other duties as required
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Standard office equipment, laboratories
Salary Range:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
