Position Overview: Basic handyman/person's skills including knowledge of household plumbing, electrical, and general home maintenance are essential.This position requires a valid driver's license, basic handyman/person's tools, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a large apartment complex to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, maintain a professional demeanor, and excel in both verbal and written communication.
Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Unit turns (this is huge portion of the job, but not the only thing)
- Painting (interior)
- Pick up grounds every morning
- Clean out parking lot drains and gutters when needed
- Take dumpsters to compactor and empty them (this job is alternated with other maintenance techs)
- Perform repairs and upkeep tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Garbage disposal replacement
- Appliance diagnostics and repair
- Unclogging sinks, toilets, and drains
- Measuring and cutting doors
- Re-screening screens
- Replacing blinds
- Replace exterior light bulbs
- Pressure washing, snow removal, leaf cleanup (as needed)
- Replace hot water tanks and supply lines
- Must be friendly
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while interacting with tenants and colleagues
- Follow written and verbal directions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Be able to work as a team, be honest, good communicator, and eager to learn.
- Being able to work as a team is extremely important. Must be able to pass background check and have some experience. A personal phone and vehicle are necessary. Position is 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday. Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
- Basic handyman/person's tools and working knowledge of household plumbing, electrical, and general home maintenance.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening & background check
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $24.00 per hour (based on experience).
- $25 cell phone allowance per month
