The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing procurement, production planning, customer service, and logistics functions to ensure seamless operations across the organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring on-time delivery, and fostering positive relationships with both suppliers and customers.
Buyer/Planner Responsibilities
- Review production schedules and forecast material requirements based on demand and orders placed via EDI, purchase order, or order processing systems.
- Place purchase orders for raw materials and components, ensuring timely delivery to meet production needs.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess stock or prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with production teams to adjust procurement plans based on changes in demand or schedules. Collaborate with the operations team to troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements.
Supply Chain Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing and delivery.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions, including late deliveries, quality issues, or material shortages.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and recommend changes when necessary.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements.
Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order inquiries, delivery updates, and issue resolution.
- Provide timely and accurate communication to customers about production timelines or potential delays.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support customer requests and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and work towards effective solutions with Quality and Production Teams.
Logistics Coordination
- Schedule and manage inbound shipments of raw materials and outbound shipments of finished products.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and negotiate shipping rates to optimize logistics costs.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping documentation requirements, including customs paperwork for international orders.
- Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
Other Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety and industry standards within the facility.
- Perform the above tasks as needed or any appropriate request that supports the business needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.88 per hour
