UTS Systems, LLC (www.uts-systems.com) is a manufacturer and leading provider of highly engineered tactical equipment such as rapid deploying shelter systems, mobile power and environment control as well as accessories for U.S. military and government agencies. We are seeking a Production Manager, who will report to the Director of Operations. This person will be responsible for the production activities in the Massillon, OH facility. This position requires the Production Manager to be an experienced operations leader and be well versed in leading a manufacturing operation. Must be able to manage and motivate production personnel in manufacturing a technical product for the DoD. This position requires coordination with the management team in a manner that supports consistent business growth and delivering a quality product in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Production Manager will be responsible for the following.
- Overseeing the entire production process, from planning to completion.
- Managing human and material resources to meet production targets and quality standards
- Assessing and improving operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s mission.
- Ensuring production goals are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Motivating performance while creating a positive and productive work environment.
- Managing production schedules and resource allocation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes.
- Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and infrastructure to reduce downtime and maximize productivity.
- Monitoring production costs and implementing cost-saving strategies.
- Utilizing ERP software for production planning and inventory management.
- Implementing safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Training and developing production staff.
- Analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement.
