Carpenter/Laborer

Utz Builders is a family owned and operated construction company located in Hanover, PA. We are looking for a qualified Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the construction industry, be self-motivated, and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and construct structures in accordance with plans and specifications
• Work as a team with others to complete tasks safely and efficiently
• Inspect structures and identify safety issues and repairs needed
• Comply with all health and safety regulations
• Perform other duties as required or requested
• Follow construction guidelines when working on projects

Skills

• Proven experience as a Carpenter/Laborer
• Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods methods (e.g. woodworking tools)
• Hands-on experience in workmanlike techniques (e.g. building with steel or wood frames)
• Excellent vision skills (including distance vision) for reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Proficient in writing legibly on paper as well as in the use of communication tools (phone, email)

Pay

• Hourly wage will be based on level of experience and adjusted once worker has worked on job and shown skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Construction: 2 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Hanover, PA 17331: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
