R&D Intern

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a R&D Intern to work out of our Hanover, PA office. Join us this summer for an opportunity to work with our R&D team on various tasks and projects. Gain valuable experience while networking with associates throughout the organization. Applicants must have effective communication skills and experience using Microsoft Office products such as Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Support:

  • Assist R&D teams in executing experiments, tests, and research projects.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of experiments to achieve project objectives.

• Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Gather and analyze experimental data using various tools and techniques.
  • Summarize findings and contribute to the interpretation of results.

• Literature Review:

  • Conduct literature reviews to stay informed about the latest advancements in relevant fields.
  • Summarize and present key findings to the R&D team.

• Prototype Development:

  • Support the development and testing of prototypes and proof-of-concept models.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to refine prototypes based on test results.

• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and production.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on project goals.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments, results, and observations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and documentation.

• Innovation and Ideation:

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to advance projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to explore new concepts and potential solutions.

Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a Science related field.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to R&D projects.
