Job Description

The University of Virginia’s School of Nursing seeks a Director of Admissions to serve in the Office of Admissions and Student Services. The Director of Admissions provides direction and support for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluation activities related to recruitment, admissions and enrollment in the School of Nursing.

This is a restricted position, and continuation will be based on availability of funding and satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

• Executes all aspects of School of Nursing recruitment efforts.
• Develops and creates innovative ways to recruit and represent the School of Nursing.
• Provides prospective students with detailed, program-specific information on inquiries or admission to School of Nursing programs via email, telephone, online platforms.
• Organizes information sessions for prospective students, includes publicity, reservation and event preparation.
• Represents the School at the University, state, regional, national, and international levels related to student services, admissions, and enrollment.
• Provides recruitment and admissions analysis for School of Nursing needs.
• Provides data/reporting for state, federal, and private funding sources.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Masters in Higher Education preferred
• At least three years of experience in admissions, student services or related field or a total of eight years of experience in lieu of degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and relationships with faculty, staff, parents, and perspective students
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  
  

Compensation

The Anticipated Hiring Range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000. This is a full-time position with UVA benefits. Employee benefits package highlights include:
