What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greeter / Information Desk position at UVA Health?
Greets patients and guests and assists with their needs to get to their appropriate destination. Responsible for addressing problems managing the drive and parking area and providing valet parking service when necessary.
Manages the drive and parking area to keep spaces available for appropriate use.
Transports patients safely by ensuring that equipment is clean and in good repair and by using proper transfer and transport techniques.
Works as a part of Patient Assistance Services to help provide all aspects of services.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Position Compensation Range: $15.00 - $20.74 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: Virginia Driver’s License (VADL).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently driving, traveling (distance greater than 1 mile) and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull >200lbs. Job is outdoors so seasonal exposure to weather elements. May be exposed to fumes, noise, outdoor climate, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
