What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Technologist- PRN position at UVA Imaging?
UVA Imaging is growing and seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for PRN Day positions at our outpatient imaging center located at Zion Crossroads. Charlottesville Virginia is a popular destination for people looking to relocate for its natural beauty, culture, and quality of life . It's a small city with a college town feel and is home to the University of Virginia.
Located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Charlottesville, Virginia. We are seeking skilled and genuine care givers who are committed to positively contributing to the patients overall experience which we consistently rank in the National Top Ten percentile.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE :
Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Must also hold a Mammography advanced registration through ARRT. Additionally, must meet the VA state licensure requirement. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE :
- Up to 1 year experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Must also hold a Mammography advanced registration through ARRT. Additionally, must meet the VA state licensure requirement. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
Skills/Abilities
- Skill in operation of Mammography equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
