Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of marketing initiatives aimed at promoting our healthcare services and enhancing brand awareness in the community. Additionally, this position will search for and develop new business opportunities to better serve the needs of the community. Reports to Director of Business Development. Non-exempt position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and Development:
· Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of healthcare marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, email, and print.
· Create compelling healthcare content for various marketing materials, including website copy, social media updates, email newsletters, and patient education materials.
· Envisions, recommends, develops, and coordinates promotional programs, advertising, events, and communication for mass media including social media, radio, television, press and print, billboards, and others.
· Assists in identifying grant opportunities for the benefit of the hospital and departmental projects.
· Assists with the coordination of business development for things such as new services and direct contracting; through activities such as market analysis, feasibility studies, feedback mechanisms, and more.
- Communications:
· Manage healthcare-specific social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and monitoring of discussions related to healthcare topics.
· Support the coordination and execution of healthcare events, such as health fairs, community outreach programs, and wellness seminars.
· Represent the hospital, or delegates a representative, to speak to a wide variety of groups.
· Promotes hospital brand and fosters good public relations and a positive image for the organization through maintaining and developing positive working relationships with internal and external contacts.
· Develops and maintains a speaker’s bureau for area businesses and community organizations, to include making contacts, scheduling appearances, building presentations, and compiling distribution materials.
· In the event of disaster, assists the Public Information Officer in the Command Center with media management, press releases, and other activities as needed.
- Strategic Marketing:
· Collaborate closely with UMH departments, senior leaders, and Board of Directors to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with patient care goals and organizational objectives.
· Supports business development in the recruitment of physicians and mid-level providers through advertising, media relations, event planning, and other activities, as directed.
· Maintain internal and external brand consistency across all healthcare marketing materials and channels, ensuring compliance with healthcare branding guidelines and regulations.
· Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, clinical teams, and other departments to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with patient care goals and organizational objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, healthcare administration, or related field required.
· One year of prior experience in healthcare marketing or a related field preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging healthcare content.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance are required.
· Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:
· Proficiency in social media management tools and healthcare-specific marketing software.
· Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards.
· Hight degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Strong working knowledge of Apple products, including Mac, Adobe Suite, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.

Functional Job Requirements:
· Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.
