JOB SUMMARY: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve mobility. The PTA assists in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and providing support during rehabilitation sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification:
- Currently licensed by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Current BLS for healthcare provider’s required.
FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS
Functional Job Requirements:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.

Job requires heavy lifting on an occasional basis.
