External candidates are eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of $15,000 (prorated for part-time roles). A relocation package of $9,200 (prorated for part-time roles) is also available for relocating applicants.
POSITION SUMMARY
A registered professional nurse who under the general direction of the Department Director/Nurse Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the department. The role has four primary functions: 1) operational management of the patient care process; 2) team building; 3) clinical and customer service role modeling; and 4) administration management development/support.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated understanding of unit operations and motivational techniques. Demonstrated ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary environment. Commitment to own career development. Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal/behavioral skills. Customer service orientation, to include skills in problem solving.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required. Please refer to department-specific Pay for Performance Expectations.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three or more years of progressive clinical experience. Some management/supervisory experience preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for direct supervision of staff members on the unit.
