Job Description
Performs a variety of routine and complex tests in all areas of the laboratory, following established procedures, as assigned. Areas included are hematology, immunology, bacteriology, chemistry, serology, and microscopy. Commands knowledge of laboratory information system. Functions in areas of phlebotomy, specimen handling and processing, and report distribution as required.
Education
Able to read, write and speak the English language.
Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or a related science is recommended.
Clinical education in a school of Medical Technology or an affiliated agency.
Certification as an MT by the Board of Registry of ASCP, CLS by NCA, HEW or ISCLT
is recommended. Must meet CLIA requirements for job position.
Notes:
- Primary shift time is 12:30PM - 9:00PM and every 4th weekend
- Salary in posting is reflective of the Medical Technologist role. Salary will be determined based upon education and experience.
- Hiring Bonus: External candidates who have not worked within the network in the past year are eligible for a hiring bonus of between $5,000 - $7,500 depending upon experience. Certain conditions apply.
- Relocation: Eligible candidate will be offered a relocation package of up to $9,200. Subject to applicable taxes. Certain restrictions apply.
