JOB TITLE:   

Admissions Representative - Admissions 

JOB PURPOSE:   

The Admissions Representative is responsible for introducing the University of Wyoming (UW) to prospective students and their families. This role involves building relationships, providing accurate information, and offering support throughout the admissions process. The Admissions Representative will meet with prospective students and families, present during campus visits and events, and participate in other recruitment activities. The Admissions Representative will communicate effectively with all stakeholders and understand the recruitment funnel. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Respond to email and phone inquiries from prospective students, families, and other stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information regarding the admissions process.
  • Deliver presentations to prospective students and their families during campus visits and at recruitment events, highlighting UW's strengths and offerings.
  • Meet with prospective students and discuss University admission requirements, financial aid policies, residency requirements and University policies.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating and supervising specific programs or projects, as assigned.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of recruitment/admission strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with other campus departments, staff and faculty in administering admissions and recruiting programs or projects.
  • Assist with planning, organizing and operating recruitment events
  • Assist in preparation of a variety of recruiting/admission publications.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Assist in collecting data, preparing reports, and maintaining program files to support recruitment and admissions activities.
  • Attend and participate in professional development workshops and conferences related to university admissions and student recruitment.
  • Respond to general correspondence, as directed, and assist with the preparation of newsletters for prospective students.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in higher education admissions.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States, as sponsorship for work authorization or work visas is not available for this position. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: 1-year work-related experience

Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements: Valid Driver’s License with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
