JOB TITLE:   

Assistant Professor

JOB PURPOSE:   

Tenure-track faculty position in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a strong research program and work with colleagues in the department to develop educational and research in Statistical Signal Processing and Applications.

The successful candidates’ responsibilities will include developing a vigorous independent research program supported by external grant funding, high-quality teaching and mentoring; and working collaboratively with faculty and staff, service to the university and state.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the university’s continuing commitment to diversity and inclusive learning and research.
  • Research productivity in Statistical Signal Processing and Applications as demonstrated by the number and quality of publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or other relevant research impact (e.g., peer-reviewed datasets, scientific software, or other complementary assessments of impact and influence). 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experience and/or demonstrated potential to develop an externally funded research program in Statistical Processing and Applications
  • Experience in teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in the discipline.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to mentor undergraduate, and the development and delivery of training material.
