JOB TITLE:
Summer Conference Assistant (CA)/Residence Life

JOB PURPOSE:
Summer Conference Assistants (CA) work for Residence Life and assist guests (minors & adults) staying/participating in summer camps and conferences hosted at UW. Conference Assistants work our front service desks providing excellent customer service and prepare check-in materials for conference guests. Other tasks include encoding & testing keycards, tracking floorplans, setting up check-ins, serving on-call, and being a trustworthy resource for conference guests throughout their stay.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with overall operation of summer conferences including helping guests, working customer service desks, managing summer processes, and serving on-call.
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings and conference check-ins.
- Work desk shifts as established by Residence Life, Housing, and the supervisor.
- Serve on-call and complete safety/security checks.
- Act as a resource and provide high level customer service to conference guests and summer residents.
- Create a welcoming environment for all residents and guests.
- Provide help, direction, and assistance to our campus guests as needed or requested.
- Assist with all administrative, facility, and operational tasks.
- Role model positive personal, academic, and job-related behaviors.
- Portray a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and pride for the CA position.
- Review, understand, and uphold all items outlined in UW Apartment & Residence Hall Policies & Procedures, Summer Work Agreement, and Student Code of Conduct.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- CAs must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of employment.
- Live on-campus for the duration of the employment term and adhere to all Housing & Residence Life policies and procedures.
- Have a positive financial, academic, and student conduct status with Residence Life, Housing, & Dining Services and the University of Wyoming.
- Be available to work a minimum of 25 scheduled hours per week.
- Pass a required Criminal Background Check.
