JOB TITLE:
Staff writer
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide news, feature or sports stories to newspaper for publication.
JFNTMP
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce at least three stories per week.
- Pick up assignments from section editor.
- Meet with section editor regularly.
- Create story ideas for consideration of section editor.
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of AP and BI stylebooks
- Knowledge of basic journalistic style and how to write newspaper articles
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
