POSITION SUMMARY: Prepares short order grill items in the cafeteria according to procedures and health code requirements, restocking area as needed to ensure efficient service to customers. Interacts appropriately with customers consistently demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System Incentives. |
EDUCATION/TRAINING: At least 2 years food preparation experience in a high volume food service environment.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must have current State of Illinois Food Sanitation certification or obtain within 6 months of hire. If no valid license is in place prior to hire, Serve Safe Food Handler certification required to be completed within 30 days of hire. |
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Good oral communication and customer service skills. Ability to effectively and respectfully interact with staff and the public within the organization. Ability to effectively deal with disgruntled customers and resolve complaints. Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. |
