POSITION SUMMARY: Performs all mammography examinations and procedures including patient assessment and education. Performs quality control checks and general clerical and record keeping functions. Creates and prepares clinical diagnostic x-ray images as directed by physician, utilizing radiologic equipment. Tracks exam to correct status in Client Server. Enters appropriate history and verifies correct images on the PACS. Performs selected cross-trained skills and procedures including general radiography, phlebotomy, rooming of patients and EKG's, enters and retrieves patient information, demographics and test results from computer. Specimen screening, collection and test performance. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. |
