Job Description

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Shift : Evening / Night, Mon - Friday

Hours per Shift : 8 and 12 hour shifts, 19 : 00 - 07 : 30, 23 : 00 - 07 : 30, 15 : 00 - 23 : 30

Experience : Minimum two years as a staff therapist; pediatric and adult experience preferred

License : Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in State of Wisconsin required

Certifications : RRT credentialed by National Board for Respiratory Care required, BLS certified through American Heart Association

Must-Have : Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital. Prior traveler experience highly preferred.

Description :

Help patients breathe easier at a leading hospital recognized for its quality care.

Work with an inter-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Provide aerosolized medication, volume expansion, airway clearance techniques, tracheostomy care, and sputum inductions to patients.

Work with non-invasive ventilation, high flow, and mechanical ventilation at both IMC and ICU levels.

Collaborate with physicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, other caregiving disciplines, and patients / families to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for each patient.

The position requires floating, and travelers may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on current staffing needs.

During the assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be reassigned to another unit to complete the contract.
