Work Schedule :
Part-time, 80% FTE night shift. Hours will typically be 8- or 12-hour shifts between the hours of 7:00pm – 7:30am, weekend rotation required. Hours may vary depending on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an Emergency Technician Lead to:
- Demonstrate expertise in the performance of emergency technician procedures.
- Provide educational learnings to emergency department technicians.
- Follow established safety and emergency policies and procedures in daily practice or emergency situations, including handling of equipment and supplies during emergencies.
- Perform hazardous substance decontamination of contaminated patient(s) while wearing level C personal protective equipment, including the use of a powered air-purifying respirator.

Emergency Technicians at UW Health
- Completion of EMT-Basic Required
- Completion of AEMT or Paramedic program Preferred
- 1 year of experience as an ED Technician Required
- EMT – Basic license or National Registry of EMT Required
- CPR/BLS certification Required
- ACLS and PALS certification Preferred
- National Registry or Wisconsin Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic license Preferred
