What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Informaticist position at UW Health?
This is a full-time salaried position with core hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department as off hours may be required. This is a hybrid position with an on site office location at 1212 Deming Way in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Informaticist experienced in project management and/or quality improvement initiatives and informatics to:
- Use your expertise in nursing practice, data analysis, and quality/safety improvement to lead the design of cutting-edge technology solutions that elevate patient care and streamline clinical workflows.
- Be the go-to expert for clinicians and care teams, sharing insights and leading the way in optimizing technology use. Partner with top industry players to implement solutions that enhance patient care.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or relevant field Preferred
- 2 years of clinical and/or informatics-related experience Required
- 5 years of progressive clinical experience and/or informatics-related experience Preferred
- Project management experience Preferred
- Involvement in quality improvement initiatives Preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Certification in Nursing Informatics Preferred
- Membership in and certification from professional associations such as ANIA, AMIA, HIMSS, PMI Preferred
