We are seeking a Pharmacy Buyer to:
- Coordinate daily pharmaceutical purchasing needs for our retail, clinic, and hospital pharmacy locations.
- Process purchase orders and provide assistance to internal and external pharmacy customers.
- Ensure medications are purchased at the best available prices, with consideration for 340B and GPO contracts.
- Work collaboratively to maintain adequate inventory of all products to meet the need of patients.
- Manage timely distribution of medications throughout our healthcare system.

- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field. Preferred
- 3 years of related experience within the area of purchasing, ordering of supplies or inventory control; or three (3) years of experience as pharmacy technician Required
- 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical setting Preferred
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required
UW Health Pharmacy Services Building - a non-clinical location in Middleton that houses nearly 100 Pharmacy professionals. These employees perform various services and duties, including pharmacy administration, Pharmacy Technician Training Program, pharmacy primary care services, medication prior authorization, sterile and non-sterile compounding, specialty/mail service program and call center.
