As a Pharmacy Technician Specialist , you will:
- Help support our pharmacy services across the entire Madison area.
- Bring your passion for helping care for patients through diligently picking and preparing medications. Be a strong team player, highly detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who easily identifies how to prioritize work and manage time within a busy work environment.

- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred
- 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred
UW Health Pharmacy Services Building – a non-clinical location in Middleton that houses nearly 100 Pharmacy professionals. These employees perform various services and duties, including pharmacy administration, Pharmacy Technician Training Program, pharmacy primary care services, medication prior authorization, sterile and non-sterile compounding, specialty/mail service program and call center.
