For a complete description of our benefits for this position, click here.Harborview Medical Center - Operating Room has an outstanding job opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Hospital Assistant.WORK SCHEDULES AVAILABLEPer-DiemVariable ShiftDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe OR is staffed around the clock and performs over 18,000 cases per year.We have 25 individual OR suites in the basement spread between the West and North wings as well as the Maleng building.We support 11 different surgical specialties.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSWork in a diverse and fast-paced environmentSupport a busy 24 x 7 surgical services operationOR CNAs clean and restock procedure rooms with supplies, remove used or excess equipment and supplies, set up exam rooms, assist with cleaning the operating room as patients are dischargedOR CNAs at Harborview support our UW Medicine Patients Are First InitiativePRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAssist medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasksTransport patients, supplies, and specimensOrder and stock suppliesMaintain / set up of special equipmentREQUIREMENTSNursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of Washington requiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalentSix months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education / experienceValid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hireABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTERAs the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
