The University of Washington’s (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) position. This position would be at the rank of Research Assistant Professor (non-tenure eligible). Research Assistant professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date would be April 1, 2025.
University of Washington faculty engage in research, teaching, and service.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program in kidney health and disease and work collaboratively.
Positive factors for consideration include candidates who demonstrate the potential to become an independently funded investigator in the field of kidney disease based on career development awards and / or other grants received / submitted, as well as candidates who have emerging national / international recognition for research and scholarship.
The base salary range for this position will be : $8,000 - $11,000 per month ($96,000-$132,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Qualifications
