STOCKROOM ATTENDANT LEAD

POSITION PURPOSE
Lead the operation of a high-volume stockroom for a retail market selling perishable and non-perishable merchandise and recipe ingredients, as well as coordinating receiving and requisitioning for a small number of retail items for offsite Cafes.
Duties And Responsibilities
Receive ordered items; check purchase receipts and invoices; return damaged goods; and stock shelves.
Act as primary point of contact to vendor representatives and delivery drivers, coordinating deliveries.
Assign, instruct and check the work of the receiving staff, including 2 FSW 2, 2 FSW 1s and student staff.
Receive and fill day-to-day requisitions from offsite Cafes.
Store merchandise received in refrigerators, freezers or storage rooms according to inventory storage locations and food handling guidelines. Rotate stock so that older items are used first. Ensure that box labels are facing outward.
Maintain compliance with state and institution policies regarding receipt, issuance and inventory of supplies, materials and equipment; notify superior when necessary to reorder inventory.
Maintain inventory and ordering records and/or cost records and periodically take physical inventories.
Check all received orders against invoice to ensure accuracy of delivery.
Rearrange stock to accommodate inventory movement and use hand dollies, carts and pallet jacks to move stock and equipment.
Coordinate with manager and leads to establish receiving pars for individual espresso bars/cafes.
Maintain stockroom areas, including custodial responsibilities and disposal of surplus materials.
Perform data input into CBORD FSS system following established protocols, including orders, invoices, inventory, and transfers. Identify and escalate suspected errors or issues to manager or Dining Systems.
Generate and print reports or worksheets from CBORD FSS system, including order guides and tally sheets.
Take inventory counts using tally sheets from CBORD FSS system.
Deliver products as needed to offsite Cafes. May drive a University Vehicle.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Keep shelves on the floor rotated and stocked.
Minimum Requirements
High school graduation or equivalent AND one year of full-time experience in retail selling, shipping, and receiving or warehouse work or as a Stockroom Attendant II OR equivalent education/experience.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
A satisfactory outcome from the employment reference check processes and education verification.
Possession of a Washington State Food Worker's Card required within two weeks of employment and maintenance thereafter.
Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Washington Driver's License.
