What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood/3K Teacher position at UW Oshkosh Head Start?
The primary responsibility is to implement high quality early childhood programming for children and their families as detailed in the Head Start program performance standards. Set up a preschool environment, prepare and implement developmentally appropriate daily lesson plans. Plan and provide individual and group activities to stimulate approaches to learning and growth in physical development, language, literacy, and communication, mathematics, creative arts, science and technology and social studies. Implement positive guidance strategies and support the child's social, emotional and behavioral growth. Ensure healthy and safe practices for young children. Support individual child's development by completing screenings and ongoing assessments of each child using the online assessment tool. Provide materials and assistance to help parents to understand their child's development, educational and nutritional needs. Engage families in the program to support the child's development and parent's role as the child's first and most important educator. Assist in planning and implementing parent meetings, special programs and training events. Follow all guidelines and procedures that are outlined in the Licensing Rules for Group Day Care Centers.

Pay: $33,169.20 - $35,954.40 per year
