Early Childhood/4K Teacher

UW Oshkosh Head Start currently accepting applications for 4K teachers to join our family! Head Start provides comprehensive education, family support and health services to assist the whole child and family in school readiness. Our program provides additional supports and resources to individualize for children and help teachers succeed. Our program embraces the High/Scope curriculum, offers many professional development opportunities, and implements Pyramid Model and Conscious Discipline programs to support social/emotional development.

We offer a generous salary of $46,464.00 paid out bi-weekly, over 26 pay dates per year. This position includes a great benefits package including, but not limited to, health insurance, vacation days, personal time and sick leave.

We also have a great hiring incentive happening now! Applicants hired into this position will receive a $500.00 bonus after 90 days of work.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education and/or related field, Pre-Kindergarten certification #080, 083, 086, 088, or 090.
• Extensive knowledge of child development, appropriate observation/assessment methods in early child development and demonstrated knowledge of implementing early childhood curriculum.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
• Successful completion of criminal background checks.

PREFERENCES

• Experience in a Head Start program
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework
• Prior experience working with preschool ages children.
