What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Sonographer position at UWH of North Carolina?
We are currently seeking full time or part time patient-focused individual for a Ultrasound Sonographer position.
All candidates must be graduates of an accredited Ultrasound Imaging program with current certification as a Registered Diagnostic sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Ob/Gyn.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients
- Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure images are of high quality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine appropriate scan protocols
- Provide patient education and ensure their comfort during the procedure
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all scans performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- Proficient in performing abdominal, obstetric & gynecological scans
- 1st trimester nuchal translucency certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to analyze and interpret ultrasound images accurately
