The solution offers an immediate appointment with a licensed counselor based on student preferences across all modalities of teletherapy. Uwill expands mental health access to people by partnering with colleges, schools, and employers to offer free online therapy, wellness, and psychiatric care.
About the Role
This is a full-time position reporting to the Controller. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing Uwill's financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to maintain financial integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Skills :
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Time management and organizational skills
Experience with financial reconciliation and auditing
Knowledge of GAAP compliance
Adaptability to evolving financial technologies and tools
Key Responsibilities :
Process payables, cut checks, reconcile bank statements and understand the invoicing process
Payroll Processing and paying states for payroll taxes
Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
General leger analysis
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Support financial audits and tax filings
Monitor and analyze financial data to assist in budgeting and forecasting
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and decision-making
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting
Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations
Understanding of GAAP and financial compliance regulations
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Ability to work in our Natick office at least 4 days per week
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
Knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
