What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate General Counsel position at UWM?
Our Associate General Counsel will support our business with all regulatory and legal matters. They will be responsible for overseeing title-related legal projects as well as servicing and other loan-level litigation. This role requires 100% onsite attendance in our Pontiac office.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Providing business support on a variety of regulatory and legal mattersExperience in overseeing and litigating servicing and other loan-level casesInterpreting legislation and regulations affecting mortgage brokers and lendersReviewing business relationships with vendorsConducting legal research on unique legal issues impacting the organizationKeeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect the CompanyPerforming pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rightsProviding legal training to Company team membersWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Must Have Qualifications : Michigan bar licensed attorney3 years of experience performing corporate legal workExperience in the mortgage banking, banking, loan servicing, or financial industryStrong leadership and communication skillsEffective planning, organizational and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks effectivelyHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyExcellent written and communication skillsAbility to work independentlyCritical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and able to work well in a team-based environmentTHE PLACE & THE PERKS Ready to join thousands of talented team members who are making the dream of home ownership possible for more Americans?
