Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Data and Network Monitoring technologies, standards, and practices for management of the broadband circuit portfolio.
- Ability to assist with the Data Networking services lifecycle from strategic planning to operations and financials, from a broadband circuit perspective.
- Ability to perform Data Networking technology and operational assessments to oversee the Virginia State Police transition project.
- Project Management experience and the ability to track milestones/deliverables and report out to VITA leadership.
- Experience in managing general network technology projects.
- Understands best practices in service management including contract and vendor management in an outsourcing or shared service.
- Responsible for responding to and resolving agency and customer escalations
Recommended Knowledge/Experiences:
- Experience in State/Agency is a plus. ITIL Foundations certification desirable
- Experience deploying and managing multiple location network solutions.
Required Skills:
- Ability to perform Data Networking technology and operational assessments to oversee the Virginia State Police transition project. Required 5 Years
- Project Management experience and the ability to track milestones/deliverables and report out to VITA leadership. Required 5 Years
