Description
We need a temporary, 3-month contract for a Microsoft Endpoint Security Engineer. After the initial term, the contract may be extended on a month-to-month basis but is not expected to exceed a total of one year.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure an endpoint security application (anti-virus/anti-malware) is deployed, kept current with patches/signature files and functioning at all times on College owned endpoint devices.
- Identify high risk and out of compliance endpoint devices for remediation and use the College’s established ITSM ticketing system to document for remediation. Remediation work will be shared between the Temporary Microsoft Endpoint Security Engineer and the College’s PC support team; assignments will be clearly identified/delegated by College IT leadership.
- Recommend policies and procedures to assist with the above. Assist in the configuration of recommended policies when it falls within the scope of services.
Relevant Applications/Infrastructure:
- Approximately 400 network servers in a native-mode Active Directory environment utilizing Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure AD and various other systems.
- Azure AD authentication with Microsoft MFA.
- All faculty, staff and student accounts protected with Microsoft A5 MFA and SSPR deployed in tenant.
- Microsoft 365 (A5) licensing level for all staff and students.
- The college has approx. 2,200 A5 licenses for faculty and staff and 70,000 active student licenses (also A5).
- Microsoft Teams is the standard College video conference tool.
- TeamDynamix ITSM (IT ticketing system).
