Required Qualifications:
- Designing and executing manual and automated test cases.(5 years)
- Understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC).(5 years)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.(5 years)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile development environment.(5 years)
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes (Quality Assurance, User Acceptance, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post Deployment Validation, Data Conversion).(5 years)
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases.(5 years)
- Java and JavaScript(5 years)
- Issue tracking and defect management.(5 years)
- Generating and documenting test plans and strategies.(5 years)
- Generating testing reports and metrics.(5 years)
- API testing and tools like Postman, Rest Client and others.(5 years)
- Writing SQL, P-SQL queries.(5 years)
- ADA Compliance testing tools, such as AccVerify, JAWS, etc.(5 years)
- Generating and acquiring test data.(5 years)
- Ability to work in person in downtown Lansing 2 days a week.(5 years)
- Build environments {DEV, UAT, QAT, PRE-PROD} specific test suites with integrated application life cycle management.(5 years)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with industry standard automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Provar, Katalon, etc.).
- Experience using Azure DevOps Testing Module.
- Experience with Mobile App testing of iOS and Android applications.
- Knowledge of performance and load testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Description:
The Software Test Analyst 5 position will work as a contract resource for the State of Michigan - Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supporting multiple software development projects for the Department of Health and Human Services. The resource will act in a tester and analyst role for various in-flight projects. The resource will work in an agile environment to write and execute use cases, test plans and develop testing scripts for custom .NET web applications.
