Location: Holy Redeemer Christian Academy Milwaukee, WI
Title: Elementary Teacher Assistant Grade K-5
Reports to: Principal
Basic Function:
• Assist with the instruction in the classroom.
• Assist teacher/administrators in providing a positive learning environment.
• Assist with lunch duty.
• Assist in keeping corridors quiet and clean.
• Monitor hallways and bathrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee.
• Escort students.
• Maintain high expectations for all students.
• Participate in collaborative planning.
• Participate in professional development.
• All school assistants are expected to sign–in and out daily when leaving the building (Sign in and out for Lunch also).
• Collaborate with virtual instructors to support learning with students and their families. This includes regular and timely information on classroom activities and student progress. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills consistent with a positive youth development environment. Identify unique student needs and collaborate with other team members.
All TA’s work from 7:45-3:45. Except if it snows and then all male TA’s will report to work by 6:30 am and assist operations with snow removal.
