Role: Manufacturing Engineer 2
Location: Goleta, CA Onsite
Duration: 9-12 Months C-T-H
Interview: MS Teams In-Person
Job Description:
Should have strong skills working with ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems, including problem solving issues with those systems causing production interruptions.
Shift:
1st shift, 9/80
What is the scope of work/project for this position?
- Purpose of role is to assist with regression testing
- Verifying that the software/project is working correctly
- Act as someone who can help with getting new hires access to this execution system
- Might support manufacturing engineering team projects as well
Top 3-5 skills / technologies and qualifications required:
- Someone who can show initiative and stay on track
- Engineering degree (mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace)
- Process development experience
- Experience with ERP systems

- Should have strong skills working with ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems, including problem solving issues with those systems causing production interruptions.
- They should have thorough mechanically / electrically oriented manufacturing engineering experience (ideally in the Aerospace industry). Some of the resumes indicate that they have ME experience, but it is in food or chemicals. Also, some resumes show that they have manufacturing engineering experience as a planner, but not technical manufacturing engineering experience solving problems or responsibility
- It is also important for them to have completed a significant manufacturing engineering project, ideally one where they led a team to accomplish the individual project tasks.
- They also need to have problem solving experience, even better to be green belt or black belt certified.
Required Experience:
- Looking for someone with 3-5 years of tenure with manufacturing execution experience
- Nothing over 30 years experience
- Do not want someone who hopped around jobs or had significant gaps
Required Certifications
- Standard harnessing certification, not a must have but would be preferred
Interview:
- Teams interview and possible second on-site interview
- Interviews in a panel style with other managers
Will any of the following be required for this position: overtime, travel, on call, weekends, off hours? Could you confirm the standard working hours? Is there a shift differential?
- Travel is not foreseeable, potentially commute to Oxnard location
- OT and weekends are not in high demand
