Equipment Operator (Finisher)
V MCGEE INC. is a construction/hauling company, located in Olive Branch, Mississippi. V McGee has worked on many major projects in the City of Memphis and a multitude of Memphis City Airport jobs since 1999. We are looking to hire a heavy-duty operator to join our team!
Skills: Dozer and Excavator Skills Are Required. Must be qualified in finishing, clearing, burning, tractor and pan, loading trucks. Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
- Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
- Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
- Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
- Observe distribution of materials and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
- Complete assigned tasks, and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
- Must have close vision and distance vision
- Must be able to hear and understand speech to interact with others
- Must be able to speak so that others will be able to understand
- Able to remain in a seated position for extended periods of time
- Able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach above your shoulder
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to bend, stoop, reach, stand, and walk frequently
- Able to work in in-door/out-door climate
