Reporting Structure
The Temp Associate Technical Designer, Men’s reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Men’s Tech Design.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Create Tech Packs for front end development styles and email to overseas factories
- Attend all development & Production fittings and communicate changes to all vendors
- Spec original samples, test bodies, protos and fit pieces to ensure design details are correctly executed
- Create visual fit boards to keep track of the development stage for each style from proto to sms
- Coordinate handover of all fit pieces to cross functional teams
- Assist the Design Team with creating paper patterns, knitting, outgoing packages, preparing yarn swatches and updating the design line sheets
- Assist the Design Team with following up on test knitdowns and test bodies
- Assist the Product Development Team with organizing the yarn card library and preparing the sms for line shipment

Qualifications/Experience We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of experience as technical assistant or fit technician
- Must have a Bachelor's degree from a Fashion / Design Institute
- Entry level construction, grading and fit support experience
- Understands garment construction knowledge and fit
- Ability to read and understand tech packs and patterns
- Able to effectively communicate fit terminology and problem solve fit challenges
- Great interpersonal skills, confident and the ability to collaborate with cross functional team members
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet calendar goals and deadlines and organize work appropriately
- Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills
- Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Systems and Tool Acumen:
- Proficiency in Illustrator Software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word
