TITLE : Maintenance Tech
REPORTS TO : Maintenance Team Leader
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
This position is responsible for ensuring proper equipment upkeep maintenance and breakdown trouble shooting to ensure production requirements while also maintaining building needs.
Coordinates with supervisors and managers on breakdown repair of equipment. Upgrading of existing equipment by obtaining and presenting facts to Director of Operations for final approval.
Prioritize and schedule for specific equipment repairs.
Coordinate preventative maintenance program.
Assist department supervisors in reconstructing moving and installing new equipment according to plan.
Electrical issues from 24VDC control to 480VAC 3 ph industrial.
Address safety issues replace burnt lights check emergency lighting on a routine basis lock out tag out program electrical safety confined space program.
Maintain and upkeep grounds outside the building including snow and ice removal as needed.
Perform facility maintenance including but not limited to plumbing electrical and carpentry.
Keep stock of routine repair parts and shop supplies.
Other duties as required.
EDUCATION :
Three years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
High school diploma or equivalent with course work in skilled crafts or trades training.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :
Must be a handson person capable of working in a fast paced environment while handling multiple projects at one time.
Must be able to use mechanical tools electrical test equipment measuring instruments and be able to read blueprints.
Must have own mechanics tools.
May require lifting of up to 100lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
The noise level in the work area is normal for a factory environment.
The employee is working in a welllit environment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Follow all safety directives and work in a safe manner.
Maintain good housekeeping standards around the work station
Know understand and follow quality procedures.
Accurately document your work as required by company procedures.
The hourly range for this role is between BR19 / hour
The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors such as : training transferable skills work experience education business needs market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
