V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Android Developer for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Education And Experience »
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of experience working on large-scale Android applications.
- Proven experience using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Experience with modern Android libraries, particularly Jetpack Compose.
- Familiarity with Android build, test, debug, and CI/CD tools to compile, test, package, and ship large-scale Android applications.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities »
- Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and works well both in a team and independently.
- Experience translating wireframes and mock-ups into reusable components and layouts.
- A solid understanding of best practices related to scalability, performance, accessibility, and security.
- Understanding of the entire mobile development process, from design to release.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work with quick turnaround times.
- Must be a self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work under pressure.
- Must possess excellent collaboration skills to work across teams and communicate technical updates to stakeholders effectively.
What You’ll Do
Job Responsibilities:
- Engineering Best Practices: Identify and uphold Android engineering best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure native components.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers and product managers to iterate on the design and implementation of new features. Partner with Backend Engineers to build and ship new functionalities.
- Responsible Design Principles: Apply responsible design principles to ensure the app meets performance, scalability, and accessibility standards across various devices.
- Emerging Technology Integration: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in Android development to ensure the app remains cutting-edge.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor app performance, troubleshoot usability problems, and implement solutions to improve user experience. Ensure that the app renders well across devices and remains accessible.
