Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Network Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of network security systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our data and infrastructure. In this role, you'll manage security initiatives, evaluate new technologies, and enforce best practices for network security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust firewall security rules and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) policies aligned with company security standards.
- Proactively manage and resolve security incidents identified through various monitoring tools and processes.
- Analyze logs and collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve security issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the security posture of DNS systems and manage associated policies.
- Conduct security threat analysis and propose effective countermeasures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience implementing, managing, and securing Palo Alto firewalls.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing or securing network infrastructure.
- Preferred certifications:
- Palo Alto (PCNSA, PCSFE, PCNSE, PCSAE)
- Cisco (CCNA)
- Fortinet (NSE)
- ISC2 (CISSP)
- Strong knowledge of zone-based firewalls, firewall security policies, posture management, and IPS at scale (Palo Alto preferred).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk preferred).
- Proficiency in packet capture analysis, with a solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and DNS security best practices.
- Expertise in implementing and managing Network Access Control (NAC) systems.
- Solid understanding of secure network design principles and Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).
