Job Overview
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Service Writer / Front Desk Associate to join our team at V-Tech Automotive Lake Forest. This role is essential in providing a seamless experience for our customers from the moment they walk through the door to the completion of their vehicle services. The ideal candidate will have auto vehicle knowledge, a background in service writing, strong customer-facing skills, and experience in handling money.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a positive first impression.
- Manage customer check-ins, check-outs, and accurately record vehicle information.
- Answer phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and assist with service-related questions.
- Write repair orders and provide customers with service estimates for parts, labor, and time.
- Assist customers with scheduling automotive services, including brake repairs, shocks/struts, and routine maintenance.
- Upsell additional services based on vehicle condition and customer needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and customer records.
- Process payments (cash, credit/debit) and handle transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure clear communication and timely updates.
- Ensure excellent follow-through on customer service from drop-off to pickup.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service Skills: Strong communication abilities with customers and team members.
- Auto Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive services, including maintenance, brake repair, and diagnostics.
- Service Writing Experience: Previous experience in service writing or similar roles is a plus.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Money Handling: Experience processing transactions accurately.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to keep the front desk area and customer records in order.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in addressing and resolving customer concerns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in an auto repair or service-oriented environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
